Orange County shore break pummels surfers
This winter has been very good to all action sports, especially surfers who have been getting swell after swell throughout the world.
In Orange County, surfers didn’t have to paddle out far to get barreled.
Videographer Skylar Wilson just posted a film shot throughout January showing the insane conditions at Seal beach, in Orange County, California.
At times, Seal Sessions is cringe-inducing, watching a surfer hit a tiny bit of chop only to be sent flying through the air with nowhere to land but a couple of inches of water.
One guy even jumps off, only to catch a running start onto the beach.
Wilson said she thinks El Nino is the reason it was so good.
“I’ve never seen Seal Beach quite like that. Everything has to line up to work the way it did. I think El Nino had the push to make it do things it normally doesn’t do,” she told GrindTV.
